Yes he died when recieving treatment for kidney cancer.
It's frighteningly young. Apparently he had kidney cancer-another disease that seems to be on the increase, either that or the doctors are getting better at diagnosing it:sad1:

poor bloke R.I.P. :wave1:
I didnt know that he was poorly, not until he was on a tv programme a few weeks back, where he was discussing his illness. I was so shocked to see how ill he looked.
TBH when I first saw it on the news, they were showing some recent video of him and I didn't realise who they were talking about. I had quite a shock when I realised:sad1:
Sad to hear this.
He used to make me laugh on telly progs. - if it said 'Strong Language' before commencement, it was usually because he was on, and often guaranteed to use the 'eff' word - always outspoken and never scared to voice an opinion.
I recommend "24 Hour Party People" to anyone - film about him - if you can get the deleted special edition, there's him doing a commentary and other stuff.
Sad loss.

There was something about Anthony Wilson on TV the other night. It said friends and relations and personalities were helping to pay for his treatment. Because he could not receive the medicines he needed of the NHS. He had to pay privately and he was unable to meet the cost himself. So close friends were in fact keeping him alive. RIP Tony.

After that we had a couple or 3 meals at his house in barrow bridge with him and his mmm mmmmmmm wife yvette and as a peace offering she lent me her mr2, what a numpty cause at the time she had somert do do with mtv and she left her address book in it,anybody want carol decker`s phone number :):):)
