I am installing Vista on my computer over the weekend, have you had any problems with it Bernard.

The only problem I have had is that the video driver seems to be a bit iffy and NVIDIA have not released a Vista 64mb driver for my video card yet, problem started when I was running the monitor at max resolution I got a few warnings saying the video driver had stopped working and then the bugger crashed :shock1:
I got the blue screen of death and last time I saw that was using XP and that was a long long time ago which turned out to be caused by duff memory I think the problem will be sorted out when NVIDIA release an updated Vista 64mb driver because the driver which comes with Vista is obviously faulty, the video card works perfectly on XP so I know it is not the card which is at fault, when I dropped the monitor resolution the problem became less severe but it is still not right :sad1:

My friend has just made me a new computer which she came round and installed for me last night. I've definitely not got Vista, as I was warned off it. Dunno why 'cos I don't know a lot about 'em, but my friend does and she advised me to stick with XP, so I have. :smile1:

I am not using Windows Vista until the PC Guard antivirus software will run on Windows Vista, according to Virgin Media this will happen "soon" to transfer files from Windows Vista to XP you can use the “transfer files and settings” wizard which you can find by going into Control Panel and then the “Welcome Centre”, there you will find the “transfer files and settings wizard” and one of the functions is transferring files from Vista to XP.
I bought a laptop a couple of months ago and it came with Windows Vista, first thing I did was to wipe off Windows Vista and install XP :smile1:
