Snoodle, I love you!!! I've been trying to remember where I'd seen those pics of old Hindley and Hindley Green-especially the one of Hindley Green station!! My eldest is doing about the history of Hindley Green after Easter and I promised her I'd find out what I could. You've given me a link she can take into school now.
