at this moment in time i really could do with 4 rashers of the finest bacon (grilled not fried) and 2 fried eggs (very runny) on a bed of wholemeal bread with brown sauce and white pepper, followed by a decent cup of nectar(tea, lidl milk and 1 sugar).
Is there a 24 hour cafe in wigan that delivers at this time of neet:sad1:

All this talk of Jackbit makes me think about lobbies for some reason.....think I might chuck a pan together for tea tomorrow night. How do you fix yours? Do you use mince or corned dog? What else do you shove in it? Would be interesting to see the differences, when me mam would fix it, hers was different to me dads.....and me grandmas was different as well....all of em good mind you...:shy1:

This is how I do my lobbies. Peel me spuds and cut 'em in chunks, same wi' carrots and slice a couple of onions. Shove 'em in a pon with a little salted water and cook until everything is soft but not breaking up.

Then I cut me corned beef into squares and shove that in as well adding a beef cube and black pepper. Give it a good stir then turn cooker low and allow it to fester for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Depending on how thick you like it depends on how much watter you put in.

Ayte when cooked!

This ere Lobby Gobbler uses corned beef. I'm not very good at making it though. My Nanna used to use corned beef too but she also topped it off with a great big thick suet crust!!!:celb (15)::celb (15): Caused great problems when I was pregnant with my third un cos my craving was my Nanna's lobby-particularly the crust LOL!!! Shame she'd died when I was 18. It was also the same time as my mum was very ill so she couldn't help me out either!!!
Well, I never got my bacon butties last night-I went to bed instead, but I've just had a whopping big bowl of fruit salad-oranges, red and green grapes, strawberries and red delicious apples. It might not be the height of culinary expertise but it hit a spot!!!:celb (15):

You might need to cook 2-3 lots then Garnet, lass. However, it is quite filling but you could always bump it up with some nice sweetheart cabbage and some mushy peys - well mebbe not mushy peys - some nice garden peas. Ya could do chips as well, but that might be too much prater! :smile1:

20-08-2007, 01:31
I'm trying to cut chips out. We only use oven chips but I'm sick of the sight of them. We much prefer making potato wedges with loads of herbs on them. These lot love peas and sweetcorn-one of my girls will sit and eat a bowl of sweetcorn on its own given half a chance LOL!!! I have problems getting them to eat any other veg though.

MOLLIE
20-08-2007, 01:58
Sweetcorn would go beautifully with that! Am sorry flowerpot, but I have to go to me bed now. Work in the morning. {{Groan}}.
