View Full Version : Scanner
Im after purchasing a scanner. I have some old photographs that i want to upload onto the forums. But i dont know where to start regarding buying one.
Does anyone know of any cheap places where i can pick one up. I have looked at Argos and they seem a little expensive. I dont want a fancy one that has every jingle jangle with it. Just a plain old scanner.
Somewhere local would be ideal.:smile1:

These days the trend is for people to buy an all in one Printer & Scanner, local supermarkets such as Asda and Tesco have a good selection of these in the price range between 50 and 100 pounds, but if you definitely just want a Scanner only I have seen one on the Curry’s website for £29.99 so they might have the same one for sale at that price in store, it maybe worth having a look in Comet too.
I purchase most of my computer bits from Scan at Horwich but if I was after a Scanner and or Printer I would probably buy one from the places just suggested.

I have had a good look at those all in one printer and scanners Bernard, but i have already got a really good printer, so that is why im only after a scanner.
The price you quoted though, on the Curry's website does sounds like a good price for a scanner, so im going to check that out instore at Curry's. I tend to look at the usual places such has PC World, etc and never bother with Curry's or Comet but i will pop instore this week and have a look.
Thanks for your suggestions.:thumb_yello:
