After bein made redundant many years ago I was forced (job club/dole office made me) to take a job doin return orders at Littlewoods in Blackrod. Talk about makin me wanna slit me wrists, did 2 weeks and did one

I have worked on many a production line and the worst ones for me were packing choc-blocs and another was packing plastic bottles.
I could never keep up with the speed of the conveyor belt, quality control and making up the boxes in between.
I laugh about it now but it drove me daft at the time.

Sewing. Didn't mind the job itself but my boss was a total .........let your imaginations run wild!!! He threatened me with a warning when I was pregnant with my eldest because my production level had dropped-even though I was getting pains in my legs because the baby was lying on my nerves and couldn't operate my machine!! I went off on the sick and needless to say, never went back!!!:sad1:

I've been lucky I supposed. Started off working for a solicitor in 1965 till 1972 when I got married and moved to Germany where I worked for the MOD. Stayed with MOD until 1975 when I worked for the then Milk Marketing Board in Worcester working for a Veterinary Surgeon, Bacteriologist and a Biochemist in their Veterinary Research Unit, then went to Londonderry in 1977 where I worked for MOD again then from there to live in Berlin then, in August 1984 returned to England.

Then I got the job I do now in October 1984 - an'am still here after 23 years. Like I said. I've been lucky 'cos all my jobs have been interesting in different ways. :big_smile:

That good un Badger. I as been muck spreading all my life. Although i real pig i talks bullsh*t. i is now entrepreneur an food critic for north west chippies. i also is part time video producer an director. i as my own production company i calls it puffin pantin crappin in the mist i does tours of drug dens an trolley tips most mornings i is creepin round graveyards takin photos of headstones. when i wins photo competition that my next subject misty mornin in ince cemetery. i may change mind an pick clog dance on shevington moor

My first job ever was at Mac Dougal's In Carroline St. Well just off. it was a wallpaper wholesalers, and I hated every min of it!i stuck it for 2 month then off.
