The Sven Hassels were about characters in a German disciplinary unit. The Guy Sajer book was about a half frenchhalf geman soldier who starts of in a supply unit, but transfers to an elite German unit (GrossDeutschland if I remember correctly (which I probably dont :confused1:)). All excellent reads

I have read a couple of them but not sure what they were called-I've got them upstairs somewhere. I enjoyed them actually!! I'm murder for books-my mum always said I'd read the labels off the cans in the cupboard if I couldn't find anything else!! I got 2 copies one for me and one for my niece. Apparently the smaller bookshops cant compete and sent people out last night to buy loads at £4.99 to sell on at £8.97 or so I heard :wink1:

What version have you all bought ? The kids cover seems to be the most popular but on the other hand the adult cover incresses in value alot more mainly because they don't print as many copies.
