Recently my wife started putting birdseed in the garden and it has attracted quite a few birds,in particular one Crimson Rosella who is now a regular visitor.
We are still getting these birds visiting the garden but trying not to spook them before I get the camera organised and keeping the dog under control is a problem.Today we had a family of four,two males,one female and young one,all competing with the sparrows and finches for the seed,not to mention a couple of crested pigeons. Anyway I did manage two reasonable photos and even though the plumage on the rosella is predominately green,it is still referred to as a crimson rosella.
